Some of you know, my house hold is mulit-religious household. While my husband is Christian, I am Jewish. I was raised Jewish, and to this day still follow closely in my grandfathers footsteps on keeping tradition alive. This year we will be lighting the menorah and decking the halls..
While some of you possibly wonder how all of this works, we typically do put up a tree, and decorate the house, to reflect both traditions & holidays, my husband still gets his tree, and I my menorah. (and our house lights are typically yellow and white) My children get to learn about both religions. My husband also participates in all of our Jewish holidays like a champ! (Thanks babe!) and I am considering adding some Jewish based homeschooling into my daughters home school routine come December. I do believe its important for them to learn about both religions, although, I do secretly hope they will celebrate both with their children when it’s their time to start a family.
I created these three printables for my home. I hope you enjoy them as we will this year. As always, these are not for sale, free for your enjoyment for the holidays!
This week I’ll also be compiling a few of my favorite pin’s on Pinterest and putting them all together, for Hanukkah and Christmas DIY home decorating!
These are all 5×7’s remember to stop by the $1.00 store and pick up some cheap frames and have fun decorating.
