It’s no surprise we are a total summer loving family. We live by the beach in Florida, what screams summer more than that? I’m always looking for awesome summer recipes. I hit the nail on the head with this one! I love s’mores. I hate that I feel like we can only enjoy them IF we are grilling or have a fire going (which fires in the summer, unless camping in Florida can be a little hot and even then it can be too hot.. ) so we improvised! One thing I can say for sure there’s not a shortage of cast iron skillets in our house hold. (what can I say? I’m from the south! we like our skillets)

What you’ll need for this AMAZING Campfire S’mores Dip:

CAMPFIRE SMORES DIP (3)

  • Cast Iron Skillet.
  • Mini Marshmellows.
  • Graham Crackers.
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.CAMPFIRE SMORES DIPp

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees leaving the cast iron skillet out. You don’t want to burn the chocolate

Open the bag of semi sweet chocolate chips and fill the bottom of the skillet.

Next add the bag of mini mallows.

Remove when the mallows are golden brown on top! Open the bag of Graham Crackers and dunk! Not only is it delicious but dunking allows for clean hands (which if you have toddlers, this is major!) (:

I might have a slight addiction to cast iron skillets. I think I have around 5 right now! Doesn’t everything taste better coming from a hot iron skillet? 🙂

Yes! We are getting ready to embark on a new journey (RV living) for the next year. I’m already planning on packing my small skillet for cooking over a campfire.
